Dr.Chan

Dr. Chan's journey into dentistry is rooted in her own early experiences.

Growing up in the Northeast, between New York City and New Jersey, Dr. Chan didn't visit a dentist until the age of seven. Facing numerous cavities, crowns, and fillings from those initial visits, she developed a fear of dental appointments.

However, this changed when she met her pediatric dentist, whose kindness and expertise transformed her dread into inspiration. This profound impact motivated her to pursue dentistry, aiming to positively influence her young patients.

Practice Philosophy

Dr. Chan is committed to educating families on the importance of preventative care, aiming to create a calm and gentle dental environment. She believes in empowering children to develop healthy oral habits early on, for a lifetime of dental health and beautiful smiles.

Cavities are preventable yet also the most common disease in children, and her goal is to help her community establish good oral health to focus on and succeed in other facets of life.

Education & Specialization

Dr. Chan graduated summa cum laude from Rutgers University with a degree in cell biology and neuroscience. She then received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery at Columbia University, where she subsequently specialized in pediatric dentistry at Columbia University-New York Presbyterian Morgan Stanley Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Chan has a keen interest in laser dentistry and remains at the forefront of dental care by routinely completing continuous education courses so she can ensure her young patients receive the most advanced care possible.
